Thinkorswim Options Trading Capital Requirement?
Vector1990 asked:
I want to open an account on thinkorswim in order to learn more about options trading but don’t have a lot of money to spare. I have about $500, would that do?

What is the best place and what are the requirements there to do stock options trading?
skahhh asked:
Looking for a place to do stock options trading and experiment with a couple of trades first. Any recommendations?
Well Nick, you are just full of fear aren’t you? Apparently you are doing quite well at it and don’t want anyone else in or else you are to ignorant to be able to do it yourself. When you tell somebody that something is not worthwhile, how about next time descibing a situation that looks profitable and explain why I might loose money doing it? Then maybe your arguement might have merit!

I bought Jan 08 strike price 40 calls of a stock currently trading at 28$. What happens if in the next two months there is a buyout of the company for 36$ cash. Are my options worthless? What f the buyout is for 36$ of the other company’s stock? Do I get new options in the buyer based on some complicated formula or do my options go worthless?
